Live in the space of setting your attitude every day. 3 rules I live by that have helped me reach that. 1) E+R=O - you can't control the event, however you can choose your reaction and create the outcome you can live with. 2) If it's not fun, don't do it. 3) Assume everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. As for work ethic.. if you do not like where you are right now, you must go into each day with the attitude it is the best thing you could ever do otherwise - going through every day miserable won't get opportunities to show up for you.

Round 1 - Circle every word that speaks to you, that is something that means something to you and a part of your values that make you, you. Round 2- Write those on a new sheet of paper. When you have those written, circle 10. Round 3 - write those 10 on a new piece of paper and circle your top 2. These are you Primary Values. BONUS Game: Have your team members, or family members do the same, and then share your top 10 with everyone - and decide what your top 10 are as a group.

Resetting Expectations

Are you on track for your goal? If not, or a little behind? Apply these simple ideas to get back on track. 1) find your original goals you wrote. 2) WHY did you set that goal? My bet, you wanted to accomplish a certain something - like pay off credit card, or car or maybe lose weight for a particular reason? Whatever it is, find your original goal and remember why you set that goal. 3) Reset your Expectation to get back on track for the goal. What are your results to date? what was your goal? Subtract and divide by number of months or weeks left in the year. That will tell you what your weekly goal or even daily goal (divide week by 5 days or 7 days) to get back on track and hit your main goal.

It may not seem like every day is critical if you don't take a step towards your commitments. You always have tomorrow, right? in a study by University of Scranton, only 8% of New Year resolutions set are achieved. What did the 8% do that the 92% didn't? If you are struggling with a commitment, I suggest create a page with two columns. A Pro's and Con's column. Write your commitment at the top of the page and start writing down all the positive things that will happen when you achieve your commitment. Life lesson 1,273 - stay out of your comfort zone. If you hang out in your comfort zone, and bad stuff happens, it can suck you down to uncomfortable. If you stay above your comfort zone and continually push through pain so you can gain, THEN when bad stuff happens it will suck you back down to comfortable. That allows you to be in the moment to deal with your bad stuff and not worry about everything else.

Wisdom that is core to my success


My share on the Clubhouse room, Achievers Breakfast club with Success.com was about the wisdom of the ages. I just recently committed to an "unplugged" vacation for 8 days, and in past conversations (an coaching with clients) it is an important piece of wisdom that what you tell yourself and commit to - it is so important to not break that commitment. If you do, then you tell your "cells" that what you say isn't always important, and what you commit to is not really an commitment unless it is convenient. I made a commitment to unplug from technology and "be present" for a vacation. It was an experience that I will cherish forever, and I had not really ever had an "unplugged" vacation before. Also, the daily wisdom that is part of my daily rituals and attributes to my success were from Jeff Olson, Slight Edge. Do the Mundane. He says in his book "little productive actions repeated consistently over time - add up to the difference between failure and success" Also, the man that has had the most influence on my life and business is Michael E Gerber, author of the E-Myth books. He taught me to systematize everything and remove me from my business. I am not my business. The systems run the business. I run the systems. Systems to grow my business every day: If your business isn't growing it is dying. My system keeps me on track to feed my business with new relationships every day. Make ordinary people, extraordinary! - trust the systems and they will carry your standards throughout your company.

Divide that number by the average time frame your product or service is used. In Real Estate if they move every 10 years, then 1,200 divided by 10 = 120 people moving EVERY year!!! Every YEAR! In this share I discuss how adding communication points in everything you do. Adding 2-way human interaction in every process you have can help eliminate the time consuming "issues" calls that take time to diffuse or prevent others from creating a story in their head that isn't true. I talk about how David Allen's, Getting things done book to do a mind dump so you can clear your mind, be present when you are with others and then have those systematized follow up reminders so you can avoid distractions and thoughts that prevent us from being present.

Logged into my Clubhouse app today to join another amazing conversation today with my morning mojo group - The Success.com Achievers Breakfast Club friends... and I had a red balloon on my profile picture noting that it was 1 year ago today when I downloaded the app. Today's conversation was around the topic of Nurturing your Creativity! I shared that staying in child-like curiosity helps me stay creative. One particular exercise is to determine what are 2-3 things as part of your "Value Proposition" that you offer that your competitors absolutely can not "say" they can do. For real estate one of my value propositions is the "Instant ON" listing were we have our clients' property listed and on the market within an hour of leaving the property!
